INTRO
This project was initiated in response to an open call by Untitled Studio, a creative studio and brand based in Porto, Portugal, that collaborates with independent slow makers and artists. The objective was to craft a unique pattern for their forthcoming limited edition socks. While the ultimate choice was up to the Instagram community, I'm excited to share my proposal for the project.
PROCESS
This project originated from an illustration I had done previously. After giving it a thorough clean-up and touch-up, I ensured it adhered to the guidelines of the open call, which specified a repeat pattern with no more than six colors. Once the illustration was polished, 3 color ways were created.
A vibrant floral motif dances across the fabric, infusing it with an exuberant spirit and playful elegance. With oversized blossoms in rich, saturated hues, this pattern captures the essence of nature's beauty in a bold and captivating way. Each petal is delicately rendered with a sense of fluidity and grace, while the overall design radiates a modern and sophisticated charm.
